Where we came from

Surge started with a simple frustration. Too many businesses were paying for marketing they could not explain, run by people they never met, reporting on numbers that did not matter. Sam Jones set the agency up sixteen years ago to do it differently: fewer clients, closer relationships and results measured in enquiries and revenue.

Since then the work has grown from local campaigns into something broader. We now serve companies across the UK and around the world, but the model has not changed. You deal with the people who do the work.

What we specialise in

We are a marketing team first and a technology team second. Our core is Google Ads and SEO, and we are a Google Partner. Around that we run Meta advertising, TikTok advertising and LinkedIn ads, and we build custom WordPress websites, host them and manage the domains behind them.

More recently we have added AI development and AI SEO, because the way people find businesses is changing, and the businesses that adapt early will pick up customers their competitors miss.

How we work

Small team, direct access. You will speak to Sam or someone who works with him every week, not a rotating cast of account managers.

We report in plain English. If something has not worked, we tell you and we fix it. If your budget is too small to make a channel viable, we say so before you spend a penny.

And we stay close to where we are. We love working with Yorkshire businesses, which is why we have built dedicated pages for areas like Adel, Chapel Allerton, Headingley and Harrogate, but the same approach works anywhere.
